Description of WordMaestro 1.4:
Combines a truly huge thesaurus (over 1.8 million related words and phrases) with a dictionary, anagram and word-search tool. Far larger than a standard thesaurus, the award-winning WordMaestro produces the results where others fail. If you've ever spent too much precious time wading through a thesaurus not quite finding the word you want, or are stuck on a crossword clue, then this is the program for you. Integrates seamlessly with other programs. For example, look up a word directly from a Microsoft Word document or Web page. The program can be optionally run in the background, always ready for when you need it. A custom thesaurus and dictionary allows you to enter your own words and definitions. This allows you to build up your own specialist dictionaries or create new definitions for existing entries. The word-search feature is a very powerful aid in solving crosswords, allowing you to match words and phrases against a given criteria e.g. find all 12-letter words where the 2nd letter is 'A' and the 7th letter is 'R'. The anagram generator is one of the most powerful and sophisticated ever developed. You can if required tell it how long each word in the result should be. For example, it will quickly return all anagrams for "every cent paid me" which consist of a 7-letter followed by an 8-letter word e.g. "payment received". Or you can just list all anagrams for a set of words, often with amusing results - try it on your name and see.
